Walk For The Beat’s Nutrition Advisor, Anne Klauke, and Founder Chuck Woolaver appeared on Fox 2 News with Charlie Langton on August 12th. The segment included a discussion of heart health overall, including the health risks in Chuck’s situation. It also included information on diet and how it plays a role.
Also discussed, was the upcoming Walk Across America. It’s coming fast, beginning on October 1st, 2017 and starting in Oceanside, California. The planned 6-month trek will take Chuck through the desert, into Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, and South Carolina. You can get updates on our website at www.walkforthebeat.org.
The walk is to inspire people to take action toward living a more heart healthy lifestyle. As Chuck said, get up and get moving. A walk after dinner, getting into an exercise routine, and staying active can help. If Chuck can walk 3,000 miles on surgically repaired legs, then you can get moving as well. Best of luck!
